## A practical local guide

San Diego Informer publishes evergreen guides about San Diego County: neighborhoods, beaches and outdoors, things to do, everyday living and getting around. The goal is simple: answer the questions people actually type before a weekend out or a move.

The site is published by Happiness Communication, a small web agency based in Jurançon, France. Full legal details are on the [legal notice](/legal-notice/) page.

## How we work

- **Official sources first.** City and County of San Diego, MTS and NCTD, California State Parks, NOAA, the National Weather Service, USGS, Cal Fire and the venues themselves. Sources are named in each article.
- **No paid mentions.** No business pays to appear in a guide. If we ever publish sponsored content, it will be clearly labeled.
- **No crime news, no endorsements.** Civic topics (like voting by mail) are covered as neutral procedures only.
- **Photos are AI-generated** from our descriptions. They don't show real people or specific businesses.

## About the domain

The sandiegoinformer.com domain once hosted a local news aggregator that shut down years ago. San Diego Informer is a new publication with no connection to that site. A few old addresses still cited elsewhere now lead to current guides on the same topic.
